01 / Context and product
GP practices run their working day across patient records, consultations, appointments, billing and inventory. Those workflows are often split between separate systems, paper and spreadsheets, which makes everyday administration slower and harder to account for.
Sienna Health is a local-first practice management product for GP clinics. The public website presents the product and its deployment model; the associated digital product brings patient records, clinical documentation, appointments, billing, inventory and reporting into one browser-based system. The software records what the practice enters; it does not make clinical decisions on the practice’s behalf.
02 / Role and collaboration
The Buffalo Company independently developed the public website and the associated product. Development was handled by our developer, with a small multidisciplinary team contributing testing, consultation and product and design input.
Doctors provided healthcare-domain consultation to help inform product development. They were not employees of The Buffalo Company, and their involvement was advisory rather than clinical validation or medical research.
The product is designed for on-site deployment, with browser-based access and role-based permissions. Backup and restore tooling is included so copies remain under the practice’s control. Availability still depends on the practice’s local server, network, power and connected services.
03 / Current status
Sienna Health is live. The public website and product are presented as a healthcare technology project developed by The Buffalo Company with multidisciplinary collaboration.
The project remains an active example of independent product development: a public-facing website and a substantial browser-based application built around the working day of a GP practice.
